Presented By Dining Car Productions

╔ On a boring, quiet train ride through the countryside, a lone traveler meets a strange woman in black, carrying with her a handbound dark book.

“We’re both traveling alone, it seems, and we’ve got a while to go until the next station. To pass the time, why don’t I tell you some stories?”

A short horror anthology visual novel created for the  2024 Spooktober Visual Novel Jam, this game puts you in the shoes of a lone traveler on a train in the early 20th century, audience to the stories of a mysterious woman. With three short stories themed around the sometimes-macabre realm of fairy tales, each with branching endings depending on player choice, this visual novel explores the relationships which can be found between the world of the monstrous and the world of humans, and all the different forms they can take.

What will you find between the pages of her black book? 』

Really enjoyed this! top work :)

Thank you so much Tom, your wonderful music really helped us create the perfect atmosphere!

I watched this game on stream, it was stellar. Saw two of the stories.

The stories made me cry a lot, and rethink a lot of my own decisions in life. It felt as if I had been sucker punched by their impact which is very good.

The fairy tales have cool horror elements and dive into parts of the psyche that are very interesting. Art and writing is very good, design is solid too. All the best.
